Bob automatically detects when a customer wants to book and collects the details. You confirm and manage everything from your BobWork dashboard — no external calendar needed.
Add appointment handling instructions to your Knowledge Base or System Prompt. Bob will follow them when a customer wants to book.
Bob automatically detects when a customer wants to book — based on their messages. The chat will appear under the Appointments tab in your inbox so you can follow up quickly.
All captured appointments appear in your dashboard under the Appointments tab:
Once you've confirmed a slot with the customer, update the status in your dashboard:
The dashboard auto-refreshes every 30 seconds.
Important: Bob doesn't know your real availability unless you tell it. Add your open hours and booking rules to your Knowledge Base so Bob doesn't over-promise slots it can't fill.
Does Bob send a confirmation to the customer?
Yes — Bob's reply is the confirmation. When it says 'Booked for Saturday 18 April at 7pm, 3 people', that message is sent to the customer and logged in the dashboard.
What if Bob books the wrong time?
Update the appointment details directly in the Appointments panel on the right side of the chat. You can edit the date, time, service, and status at any time.
What timezone does Bob use for dates?
Malaysia Time (MYT, GMT+8) by default.
What happens if a customer tries to book outside business hours?
Bob will tell the customer it can't confirm that slot. Add instructions in your knowledge base for how Bob should handle this — for example, suggest the next available morning slot.
Can I manually add an appointment that wasn't booked through Bob?
Yes. Open the chat in your inbox, click '+ Add Appointment' in the Appointments panel on the right, and fill in the details.
